A Prayer for Patience and Resolve

A Prayer for Patience and Resolve

Av Harachamim, source of compassion & resolve,
In these days of uncertainty and challenge,
Grant us patience, gentle and unwavering.
May we, as a community, find the strength to wait
With calm hearts and clear minds,
Knowing that in each moment of pause,
There is a quiet unfolding of possibility.

Adonai you wait, for us to learn grace
and kindness in our words and actions,
That we may soften the edges of frustration with compassion.
Let us remember, as we hold one another,
That no one's pain is invalidated or reduced
By another’s experience,
For the collective sum of our tragedy and struggle
Is the bond of community,
The embrace of companionship.

Therefore, Adonai will take pause, to be gracious to you,
Guide our focus, steady and determined,
As we work together with resolve to rebuild,
Not only the structures we see,
But the future we dream of—
A future where hope is restored,
Where understanding and compassion lead the way.

Ribono Shel Olam - Source of all truths of life
Help us to be resilient,
Not in spite of the difficulties we face,
But because of them—
For together, our patience is a shield,
Our resolve, a bond.

With חַזַּק וֶאֱמָץ - chazak v'ematz, strength and courage we fortify
With calm resolve, we move forward,
Together, holding the world as it is,
Knowing that our shared strength makes it whole.
Amen.
